Care Dimensions Hospice House, an 18-bed inpatient hospice facility in Lincoln, Mass., offers skilled medical care in a facility designed to feels like home. Special design consideration was also given to create a functional and uplifting environment for the staff.

The 29,127-square-foot building, designed by EGA Architects (Newburyport, Mass.) features 75,000 hand-dipped red cedar shingles on the exterior and large windows overlooking the Cambridge Reservoir. The interior offers thoughtfully selected design elements, such as floor-to-ceiling millwork, built-in window benches, soothing color palettes, fireplaces, a kitchen, and family gathering spaces.
