The mission of the award-winning Mercy Medical Center, a 350,000_square-foot replacement facility, is to provide a high-tech community hospital that successfully delivers comprehensive, quality healthcare services to Oshkosh and the surrounding communities.

Outpatient Services are designed to have the same customer conveniences as freestanding facilities, such as accessible parking, point-of-service registration and quick turnaround times. A two-story galleria-style Atrium connects the entries at the ground and first-floor levels, enhancing wayfinding and making all services visible from the various entries.

The 24-bed Inpatient units can be subdivided into 8-bed Specialty units, if desired. Visualization is the key, with every patient room visible from the Nursing Substations

.

Observation Medicine allows patients to be served appropriately in the most cost-effective manner. Acting as gatekeepers, the Observation unit and the Extended-Stay Recovery Care Center minimize the need to use inpatient beds and offer quality healthcare for the less critical 23.5-hour patient.

All areas are planned for future Outpatient Services growth and potential building expansion.
