Skagit County (Mount Vernon, Wash.) broke ground on a new mental health treatment facility, according to an article in goskagit.com.

The new 16-bed evaluation and treatment center will provide acute mental healthcare services. It replaces a 141-bed inpatient facility at the former Northern State Hospital campus in Sedro-Woolley, Wash.

The project team includes BCRA (architect, interior designer, civil and structural engineer; and landscape architect; Tacoma, Wash.) and Faber Construction (general contractor; Lynden, Wash.).

The $10 million project is slated for completion in July 2021.
