Kadean Construction has completed a $13.1 million expansion of the Siteman Cancer Center, an outpatient treatment facility at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in suburban St. Louis.

The expansion, which was started in 2016, doubles the cancer treatment facility’s size to 37,000 square feet, increases the number of medical oncology exam rooms from eight to 16, and nearly triples the number of chemotherapy infusion chairs to 32.

The additional square footage also enables the number of radiation oncology rooms to increase from four to seven, and for the addition of two more medical oncologists to the staff.

The Siteman Cancer Center is a partnership between Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Washington University School of Medicine, both based in St. Louis.

CORE10 Architecture and Christner Inc. were the external and interior architects, respectively. Pillar Design Group Inc. and Glasper Professional Services Inc. were the structural and civil engineers. William Tao & Associates handled mechanical, electric and plumbing engineering.
